About Option Free TV

Option Free TV is about ORIGINALITY!  How many time a week can you watch CSI, CSI: Miami and CSI: New York.  Between network and cable broadcast, probably up to ten times a week.  That pales in comparison to the number of times you can catch Law and Order, Law and Order: Criminal Intent and Law and Order: SVU.  Feeling a yearning for a mystery?  You can take in an episode of Without A Trace, Vanished, Jericho or Kidnapped and if you're in the mood for something supernatural, try Lost, The 4400, Surface, Invasion or Heros.  At the right time during the year, you can chose to watch camera's follow Rev. Run's family, Dog, The Bounty Hunter and his family, Nick Carter and his family, the Gotti Family, the Barker family, the Gastineau family, the Hogan family, or the Gene Simmons family.  Over the years you've watched the Osborne family, Nick and Jessica, Bobby and Whitney, Britney and Kevin and Carmen and Dave go about their decidedly "undifferent" celebrity life.  You can watch Ashley Parker Angel, Danity Kane or Chyenne Kimball make their first albums.  If your really bored, you can watch a the hair dresser to the stars do hair, the Personal Trainer to the stars exercise and the Real Estate agent to the stars "get the listing".

Frankly I've ran out of ways to make this seem cute, so I'll just come right out and say it.  Many producers today are simply copying the last successful, or sometimes semi-successful concept.  Dr. Keith Ablow copying Dr. Phill, Ghost Whiperer copying Medium, Celebrity Duets and Skating with Celebrities copying Dancing with the Stars, Trading Spouses copying Wife Swap, Super Nanny copied Nanny 911......I'm almost afraid of how long I could continue on with this.

Option Free TV doesn't shuffle what's been done before, so producers looking for that will have to look elsewhere, correction, they don't have to look anywhere, but if you're a producer who longs for original ideas and you know that all the best ideas aren't contained within the tiny "insider's" world of television and studio exectives, then OFTV is the place to be.  We take a bite out of the risk because we understand that investments are just better this way.
